From O'Briens Crossing Car Park we will follow the Lerderderg River along the picturesque Eastern Track for approximately 6-7 klms. It is a was formed track last time we did it, but there will be some rock hopping, rock scrambling, log hopping, log scrambling and knee high damp grasses to navigate ( apparently some of this has now been washed away). Morning tea will be around 11am and we will continue on to the junction of the Eastern Track and Cowans Track. We will make our way up the 700 metre hill (200 metre gradient) to enjoy a well deserved lunch break, chat and relax. We will then follow the undulating Cowans Track for approximately 4klms, admiring the views from our ridge top position, coming to O'Briens Road at the end of this track. Weather dependent, we will return to O'Briens Crossing via the road or take Shortcut Track, which is down hill for approximately 4klms
