BEGIN:VCALENDAR VERSION:2.0 PRODID:Events Booking BEGIN:VEVENT UID:6a23cc7c679a1 SUMMARY:A challenging rocky adventure followed by a hot pub lunch DESCRIPTION:Dual club walk with Koonung. \; A challenging 9km walk thro ugh \;Conglomerate \;Gully and the wider area behind Riddles Creek \, a location known for a particular type of rock formations known as cong lomerate. We'll climb around the side of a small waterfall\, see kangaroos \, wild flowers and plenty of thriving grass trees so clean your boots ple ase\, we don't want to accidentally transfer cinnamon fungus to the area. There are 2 large sections of offtrack\, rocky tracks\, strenuous and slip pery undulations so bring your poles\, and one stinking big\, long rocky h ill to climb - we have 324mtrs of ascent across the day. This isn't the lo ngest walk but there's a lot going on under foot to keep you concentrating across the day\, and if we have time we'll pop into the local \;cemet ery to to visit some of the generational burial sites that go back to the 1800s..Being a shorter walk we have time to finish the day with a cold bev vi and a /coffee &\; a hot lunch at the local Riddles Creek Pub - I've even booked the tables in front of the fire!! Tracks are rough with lots of loose rocks on around 30% of the trails\, slippery sections\, and lots of fallen tree debris in the offtrack sections\, but there's also single file sections of fairly good track. Multiple off track sections through re latively good bushland but there is fall tree debris to navigate - off tra ck totals around 3km\, skirting the waterfall requires around 10mtrs of ge ntle rock scrambling. \; \;Some short but steep ascents and descen ts on rocky but wide dirt roads\, one very large hill with lots of loose r ocks\, approx 200mtrs ascent.
