Eltham Heritage Circuit Walk

Meet at Eltham North Playground car park Melways Map 21 K1 (toilets available) at 8.45 am for a start at 9.00 am. We will follow the Diamond Creek trail to Eltham Library - on flat paths, no poles required unless you usually use them. The Eltham Heritage Walk will commemce from the Alan Marshall Statue outside the entrance to the Library with 21 points of interest. Jim Connor - President of the Eltham District Historical Society will meet us at the Old Courthouse and take us inside for a 20 minute talk and question/answer time. Morning tea will be provided in the U3A classroom - behind the Courthouse and for those who wish to purchase a cappuccino the Zen Den cafe is only a 2 minute walk from the Courthouse. We'll complete the circuit to the Eltham North Playground via the Diamond Creek Trail finishing at 12.45pm, total length of the walk is 10 kms. For those who wish to do a shorter walk please meet us at the Eltham Library at 09.45 at the Alan Marshall statue for the 3km Eltham Heritage walk, please indicate in the comments if you are starting at the Library when making your booking.
