Royal Botanical Gardens and the Shrine

The 08:21 train from Eltham is scheduled to arrive at Flinders St at 09:06; walkers might meet in the last car. At Flinders St station we assemble at the exit opposite Birrarung Mar, walk along the river to the City Gate of the Botanical Gardens and do a tour of the highlights. Crossing over from the Gardens cafe exit to the Shrine, we will do the 11:00 am tour (45 to 60 minutes). The walk finshes after that.

Lunch can be obtained at the kiosk outside the Observatory cafe building (the cafe itself is closed for renovations) or brought and eaten in the area. Walkers could get the tram from Anzac tram station in St Kilda Road or walk back to Flinders St.
