North Warrandyte - Laughing Waters

Meeting place to begin the walk is Weerona Playground (Mel 33 B9) accessible off Research-Warrandyte Road. Meet at 0915 for a 930 start.  Some of the paths are narrow, on steep banks, and can be slippery so poles are strongly recommended.

Our walk will begin by walking towards the Yarra River and veering right onto a barely visible track (a great view of the river half way up - 8 minutes), which we will follow up the hill to Glynns Road.  We will cross Glynns Road and walk up to the water tank on top of the hill along the track just inside the fence.  We will then walk directly downhill to Ford's historic cottage.  From there will walk down to the Yarra and follow the river to Laughing Waters.  Then we will follow the river to Bob's Wetlands for morning tea.  After the break we will pass the Pound Bend tunnel and follow the track along the river (up an down) on some steep tracks to our starting point at Weerona Way.
