Howmans Gap Basecamp 2025

Howmans Basecamp 27/12/25 to 1/1/26. Cost $565pp, with a $250 deposit payable to the YMCA in mid September.

This popular and unique base camp offers five nights accommodation including 3 meals per day at the YMCA Lodge near Falls Creek.
A variety of walks ranging from easy to hard are offered daily so there’s something to suit everyone. It's a fun and relaxing time with 60+ bushwalkers where you’re guaranteed to meet new people and broaden your bushwalking experiences - last year we had 81 walkers from 5 clubs.

There will be people attending from the Diamond Valley, Koonung, Waverley, Essendon and Bayside bushwalking clubs, enjoying combined walks and activities including daily happy hours and a fancy dress (optional) New Year's Eve celebration.

Accommodation is in bunk rooms where bottom bunks only are used.

NOTE: if bookings are full, please wait list yourself as often places come up.

YMCA CANCELLATION TERMS:
We will each be booking individually with the YMCA this year via their online booking system so bookings are subject to the YMCA's cancellation terms as follows:
* within 6mths of booking date, 50% refund,
* within 30 days of booking date, zero refund BUT, the canceling party has the option to find a club member to fill their spot. Club coordinators may be able to assist, but it's ultimately the responsibility of the person cancelling.
