Werribee Gorge, Centenary Track and The Island

Join Joan and Lynda for a hike through Werribee Gorge on a combined club walk with Koonung.

We will meet and start at Meikles Point Picnic area and do the full circuit anti-clockwise.

The plan is to do approx 13kms. Depending on weather it will be decided on the day if the long uphill to ’The Island’ will go ahead and shortening the hike minimal.

There is a steep uphill from the start with a good mix of terrain and uneven ground at times. Also some light rock scaling, tracks near water and fixed steel cables to sidle around rocks.

We will be at high vantage points for great views on this walk
