Dargile State Forest

This is a 14kms hike in the Dargile State Forest. It is a combination of open tracks, steep rocky ascents and descents with ~2kms off track climb. We will be rewarded with great views once we climb Mt Ida.

This requires all to be sure-footed as the rocky sections are quite challenging. Combined elevation approximately 310 meters.

Please bring poles, morning tea, lunch and adequate water.

Carpooling from Yarrambat Picnic Ground at 0700hrs. The cost will be $20.

Meeting place for those driving directly will be at the corner of Barrack Street/McIvor Highway Heathcote next to the public toilet block at 0830hrs. We wil then convoy to the start of the hike. We will aim to commence the walk at 0900hrs.
