Wombat State Forest two walks and Blackwood Hotel lunch
Wombat State Forest will offer a delightful morning adventure with two walks.
Meetup at 8.50am for a 9.00am start
We begin on the Whipstick track, traversing an open forest with low heath. The path then transitions into a dense ‘wet sclerophyll’ forest, home to towering trees, vibrant ferns and moss-covered logs. The formed track loops around Whipstick Creek, eventually leading us to the Lerderderg Heritage River walk.
Lerderderg Heritage River trek is relatively flat, track-based walk crosses several small creeks via bridges, navigates obstacles and meanders through a diverse range of trees. It’s the perfect bushwalk of 13kms before enjoying a classic pub meal at the historic Blackwood Hotel.
Bring along morning tea and I have a lunch booking for 1.30pm - we may even get there ealier.
Please email or message me to confirm your lunch booking -
