Plenty Gorge: Mackelroy Rd to Blue Lake circuit

A medium easy walk starting in the eastern section of Plenty Gorge, meandering up to the Fence Post intersection and beyond to Blue Lake picnic ground for morning tea. After a walk around the lake we head for the Goat Track which provides beautiful elevated river views. We'll return to the cars via the Lower Dam, the water tank and Jess' Track.

Length approx 9 km
Some ups and downs and the track is gravelly and slippery in parts. Poles useful.

Meet at the corner of Mackelroy Rd and Oatland Rd, Plenty, MEL Map 10K6 ready for an 9.30 departure.

What to bring: morning tea, water. Optional lunch at the end.
