This is the second part of a two part walk and each walk is stored separately in the JTrack Library.
Part 1 is titled Bunyip State Park Track
A short drive of about 8km is required to the beginning of the second part
Part 2 is titled Buttongrass Nature Walk.  It is this section that is featured here.

Plan for the day:
Start walk at Mortimer Picnic Ground (toilets, parking) Mel Keymap 14 R12. This is off Gembrook-Tonimbuk Rd 7 km from Gembrook. The walk follows a 1 km nature trail across the road, then crosses back and  commences a steady 135m climb on Steege Rd through varied forest types to a ridge. Follow the ridge east then down dense and beautiful tree fern gullies, crossing Link Rd (morning tea). At Nichol's Hut track turn right to Ferres Walk Track and right again into Silvertop Ridge Track past a bunyip-inhabited lake. At the top of the rise past the lake, take the track to the left and follow this track for about 3 km of undulations to the start. Total 10 km grade M.

Lunch at Mortimer's, then the option of returning or driving on a further 8 km on Gembrook-Tonimbuk Rd to Camp Rd and down Camp Rd to Guide Track. About 6 parking spaces here; no toilet. From here do a 3.5 km E flat 1 hour anticlockwise circuit through  button grass, rare in Victoria, and other swampy land vegetation. The button grass is mostly towards the end of the circuit.
