11¾ km, 5 hrs, 94m ascent, 21 walkers. An 8am drive to Number 16 beach to drop off passengers; 7 drivers continued on to Sorrento Back Beach to set up a car shuffle for walking along the ocean side of the peninsula. Fine but windy weather; wonderful coastal views; lunch in Diamond Bay (appropriate for Diamond Valley BC); plenty of ocean beach features and crashing rolling waves. Happy Hour and group BBQ.
